Saturday morning and its not raining, we got ready and decided to walk locally, We left home and walked towards Sandiway passing the new encampment at Hogshead lane then as we got to the Whitegate Way we went down the steps turning right onto the Whitegate Way towards Cuddington. A lot of trees down on the way but we soon reached the junction with what they now call the Oakmere Way. This part of the path was not so good but we soon reached Stoneyford Lane, turning left for a few hundred yards to connect with the Oakmere Way. This path is good in places and not so good in others, we skipped the loop and walked down through the quarry meeting up with the Oakmere Way again by Hornbys Rough. From here we were on the path all the way back to home and a couple of hours well spent and no rain.
