Third weekend of the New Year, no rain and firm ground, where can we go ? we decided on the walk round Oulton Park but we would do it in the opposite direction to the last few times. We parked on the Old Coach Road car park and set off across the road into Oulton Park Common, after a few twists and turns we reached the other side and our exit onto the lanes for a mile. We took the lane down the side of the race track, no racing so not much traffic and a lot of nice dwellings. We followed the route towards Darnhall this fetching back memories of our fifteen months living there, until we reached the farm with the muddy path, Eureka they had moved the path so we had a relatively dry walk, we passed through five or six fields until we reached our next turn up the far side of the track. Not long and we were back at the car, slightly muddy but not too bad. Nearly two hours.
