We picked a windy day, this would be a good summer walk with no wind. We parked about a mile through Beaumaris in the car park right on the Straits. We started off lane walking to Penmon lighthouse then picked up the coastal path for a couple of miles, then turned across the island to return back to the car via Llangoed and its Castle. Three and a bit hour very nice walk.
