A walk round Cookes Works Nature Reserve, Penrhyndeudraeth, two miles.

A sore foot today so need something light, we set off for Porthmadog for another look in the walking shop but first we went to Penrhyndeudraeth to see if the new railway bridge over the estuary is finished. No it isn't, but not far off. We then climbed up the hill into the old Cookes Works, this old explosives factory was given to the council and transformed into a nature reserve. Very good views from on high and a bit of exploring to do but not a long walk, a mile or so but worth a visit.
