A few miles around Manchester German Market

Today we go to Manchester to pay homage to the German's, they who lost the war had the country rebuilt for them, now run Europe and us and now have the temerity to come here and try and sell us their bloody sausages. Well I got one round them and had a pork and stuffing bap and English beer.
We had been asked by Liz and Pete if we wanted to go with them so off we went, in one day we had been on a train, on the Manchester Eye, walked twice round Manchester and had a pork bap and a pint before another train journey and then a visit to the Red Lion in Holmes Chapel for dinner and a drive down the M6 on the way home. Its nine O clock now and I am Knackered.

Four and a quarter miles Dinas to Fort Belan

A good Saturday forecast and on our own today so we decided a beach walk would do us both good but when we got there the tide was nearly in. There was some walking along the bottom but we had to make for the top as we approached Fort Belan. A new private sign had gone up by the fort so we stopped there and sat on the rocks and had lunch. We managed some of the way back on the bottom but soon had to make for the top. We called at The Harp on the way back and had a pint. The highlight of the day was a message in a bottle but its in German so we need to translate it.

You cannot beat the sound of the sea so here is a bit.

We called at the Harp and for once we didn't make a mess
