Two and three quarter miles on the Cob at Porthmadoc

Monday morning and off to Porthmadog we go, Sue wants to go to the walking shops. First we parked at the back of the harbour and then had a look round the station of the WHR, then we set off over the Cob along the railway towards Penrhyndudraeth. It is not a long walk, the Cob being just over a mile in length and having the engine works at the far end. Just round the corner over the road is a small bird hide looking over the waters inside the Cob, not many rare species. Then we decided to walk back along the railway as well as the views are better. When we were sat having our lunch we had a conversation with a gentleman from the railway and learnt a lot about points.
