Two miles round the river with Keith and Joyce

Sue had spoken to Joyce and they agreed we would go for a walk on the River Weaver on Monday afternoon. We had not done this section for a few years so we set off initially in the direction of the locks. Then we crossed and turned left heading towards the blue bridge where we crossed again and headed back to the flat. All over in an hour during which time me and Keith put the world to rights.

This boat was made here in the 50's

Six miles by the sea, Wallasey to New Brighton and back.

Saturday morning and not a lot to do so off to the sea side. We got the tide wrong again so on leaving the car we only managed a couple of hundred yards before we had to leave the beach. Still it was a good morning and the sun was out and only a light breeze. We parked at Wallasey by the lifeguard station and walked to New Brighton going round the corner until we had a good view of Liverpool. Then we retraced our steps back to the car and then kept going towards Leasowe. We stopped when we found a good place for a sit down and to eat our picnic, then we carried on to the country park sign and then turned back walking on the dunes past the golf course.

This was the view from our lunch stop.

Welcome to New Brighton first visit was sixty years ago.
