A walk from Porthmadoc to the golf club round the coast, four and a bit miles.

A quieter day today so we parked by Wilkinsons in Porthmadog and round by the harbour, down along the boatyards and then up and over to Borth y Gest. Packed out with cars as usual, a quick visit to the facilities and up the hill we went, each year more and more houses are changing colour, very nice. Soon we are on the coastal path and up and down we go passing cottages and caravans as we go, soon we are down at Afon  Dwyryd and sit on the slate outcrop by the beach for our picnic, a very nice place with stunning views. Now we have to make the climb back up to the path very steep steps and then backtrack until we come to the coastal path sign which takes us back around the bay to Borth. A couple of sit downs to take the views and we take the high road back down into Porthmadog town center, a walk up the main street and we are back at the car.
