Five miles around Beeston and Peckforton

Saturday afternoon and parking at the Beeston Castle car park we headed off down to the left out of the village down the road picking up a lane on the right. Across the fields we could see Peckforton on our right, through the woods and we were heading towards the gatehouse on the road. Here we turned left for half a mile soon arriving at the village famous for the elephant statue. Here we turned up a steep hill for another half mile. We ducked out on going to the Craft workshops and headed back towards Beeston, a very claggy path all the way to the road soon passing some very desireable properties. Here we can see the castle and take a path on the right crossing the road and up the hill by the castle walls and here is the carpark. Two and a half hours and a good walk.
